Edibles are perfect when you want a smoke-free, longer-lasting cannabis experience. Golden Tree Cannabis carries a full range of THC and CBD edibles — gummies, chocolates, baked goods, mints, beverages and more — all from Ontario's licensed producers and capped at the federal 10 mg THC per package limit.

Edibles hit differently than smoking or vaping: the onset is slower (typically 30–90 minutes), the peak is more intense, and the effects last 4–6 hours or more. Whether you want a low-dose 2 mg gummy or a CBD-dominant chocolate for sleep, our team can help you dose responsibly.

What to look for in edibles

Start low, go slow

The classic edible advice. Start with 2.5–5 mg THC if you're new, wait a full 2 hours before deciding whether to take more. Edibles are notorious for catching beginners off guard.

10 mg per package limit

Health Canada caps THC at 10 mg per package. To dose lower, split the product — most gummies are scored or come in 2–5 mg pieces.

THC vs. CBD vs. blends

Pure THC edibles are intoxicating. CBD-only edibles are not. 1:1 or 2:1 CBD:THC blends produce a milder, more functional effect that many people prefer.

Onset time and format

Beverages and dissolvable strips hit faster (15–30 min). Gummies and chocolates take longer (45–90 min). Eating on a full stomach delays onset further.

Frequently asked

How long do edibles take to kick in?

Usually 30–90 minutes. Onset depends on the format, your metabolism, and whether you've eaten recently. Wait at least 2 hours before taking another dose.

Why is the THC limit only 10 mg per package?

Health Canada sets that cap to reduce the risk of accidental overconsumption. You can buy multiple packages — just dose responsibly and don't combine before you know how 10 mg affects you.

How long do the effects last?

Typically 4–6 hours, sometimes longer at higher doses. This is why edibles are popular for sleep, chronic pain, or long evenings in — they last much longer than smoked or vaped cannabis.

Are CBD edibles available without THC?

Yes — we carry pure CBD edibles for people who want the therapeutic effects without intoxication. They're popular for sleep, anxiety and inflammation.

Can I order edibles for delivery?

Yes — edibles are available for same-day delivery from Brampton, Shelburne East and Shelburne West. ID checked at the door, 19+ only.
